ZHYAO E-Coating Line – Reliable Electrophoretic Coating Solution for Metal Parts

Product Overview

The ZHYAO E-Coating Line is an industrial electrophoretic coating system designed to provide uniform, corrosion-resistant coatings for conductive metal parts. By applying an electric field in a water-based coating bath, the system enables paint particles to deposit evenly onto the workpiece surface, including edges, recesses, and internal cavities.

E-coating is widely used as a primer or base coating process in industries where high corrosion protection, consistent film thickness, and strong adhesion are required. The ZHYAO E-Coating Line integrates pretreatment, electrodeposition, rinsing, curing, and material recovery into a continuous and controllable production system.

Working Principle

Electrophoretic coating is based on the movement of charged paint particles in an electric field.

The workpiece is immersed in a coating bath containing water-based paint.

Under a DC electric field, paint particles migrate and deposit onto the conductive surface.

Once the coating reaches the required thickness, deposition naturally slows, ensuring uniform film build-up.

This process results in consistent coating thickness, even on complex geometries.

Key Features

Uniform Coating Thickness

E-coating provides excellent coverage on sharp edges, corners, and hidden areas that are difficult to coat with conventional spraying methods.

Strong Adhesion & Corrosion Protection

The deposited coating forms a dense and well-bonded film, offering reliable corrosion resistance and serving as an ideal base layer for subsequent topcoats.

Water-Based & Environmentally Controlled Process

The coating bath is water-based, with high material utilization and controlled emissions, suitable for modern industrial environmental requirements.

Automated & Stable Operation

The E-Coating Line operates with controlled voltage, current, temperature, and bath chemistry to ensure stable and repeatable coating quality.

Integrated Process Design

ZHYAO E-Coating Lines typically integrate pretreatment, electrodeposition tanks, ultrafiltration rinsing, curing ovens, and conveyors into a continuous workflow.

Typical Applications

The ZHYAO E-Coating Line is commonly used for:

Automotive parts and structural components

Agricultural and construction machinery parts

Electrical cabinets and metal enclosures

Hardware, fasteners, and stamped metal components

Metal frames and welded assemblies

E-coating is especially suitable for parts requiring internal corrosion protection.

Main System Components

A standard ZHYAO E-Coating Line may include:

Pretreatment system (degreasing, rinsing, surface activation)

Electrophoretic coating tank (anodic or cathodic, depending on application)

Power supply and electrical control system

Ultrafiltration (UF) rinsing system

DI water rinsing stages

Curing oven

Conveyor and material handling system

PLC centralized control and monitoring system

System configuration can be adjusted according to product size, output, and coating requirements.
