There is no single factory size that applies to every automatic powder coating line. The required space depends on the workpiece dimensions, production capacity, process configuration, and equipment layout.
A typical system may include loading and unloading areas, pretreatment equipment, drying, powder coating, powder recovery, curing, cooling, and conveyor sections. The length and arrangement of these sections change according to the production requirements.
Building height is also important, particularly for overhead conveyor systems and large workpieces. Space should be allowed for operator access, equipment maintenance, material handling, and safe movement around the production line.
When planning a new powder coating line, it is useful to provide the available factory length, width, and height, along with the proposed equipment location. The engineering team can then develop a layout that fits the available space and production process.
